Riscio lamp by Joe Colombo from 1967 has a light, friendly, and modern design, with the triangle shade that seems to fluctuate over the cylindrical base. Riscio comes in three timeless colors: dark red, white and night blue, to fit in many environments, from private houses to public spaces. It projects a rather strong light and comes with an integrated touch dimmer at the top. ‘Riscio’ is the Italian word for “rickshaw”, and the lamp was a nod to Colombo’s heritage and Asian culture. Italian icon, Joe Colombo (1930-1971) believed in democratic and functional design. He created flexible and transformable piece of furniture that could be used in many different ways, to the benefit of the user. He pioneered new cutting-edge materials and technologies, and designed ‘living machines’, many of which have become icons of a new way of living.
